Gzip support in Newsgator, RSS Bandit and Syndirella, non-support in Newzcrawler
Update: updated to reflect Simon Fell's work
on support for Syndirella. Sorry Simon.
Greg Reinacker wrote in about GZip support in NewsGator 1.2Beta (go get it), and Brad Wilson wrote in report that Newzcrawler doesn't do gzip. From one of Dare's posts, I know that support for RSS Bandit is on the way.

One thing that mitigates java.blogs lack of support is that when you sign up your blog, you can say how often you want java.blogs to check for updates. If you don't care about having java.blogs absolutely up to date on your site, you can set that value to 24 hours or something.
