We're trying out a new DSL provider, speakeasy.net. Last time we switched to get relief from bandwidth metering. This time we're switching because it costs less, has a much higher download speed, but a slightly slower upload speed.
Please comment if you perceive that this blog (or Julie's) has slowed down.
Julie's blog loads quickly on both providers. Your blog has 1-2 seconds of hesitation before loading (both providers).

Speakeasy has really good support. If it's not working, a rareity, they will walk you through fixing it, and don't mind that you're not using windows. They are happy to debug things down to the traceroute / ping level. If you call in with a problem, they'll call you back a couple of days later just to make sure it's gone away. You have to pay a little more for them, but it's worth it.

With the 1.5 up/256 down and the Zyxel 645 modem, I periodically lose sync, which is a real pain if I'm not home -- can't soft boot the modem remotely, so I lose access to my network. That being said, Speakeasy support is generally very good, and speeds here in Shoreline, WA tend to be good, as well. I'll be curious as to how SE works for you on Bainbridge, as my family is fairly well settled on moving there in the near future.

So far I'm very impressed with Speakeasy support, easily the best I've experienced (Drizzle was good too)
I've got the Broadxent modem which is rated for 6M down/768 up, and I'm getting more like 4Mdown/700 up, which should be good enough. The Drizzle/Qwest line was rated for 916/860? but was usually under that.
So far, it's faster, cheaper, and better service...
