Another blog reconnection
As usual, the world is small. I recently reconnected with Bryan Cantrill (okay, this is Orkut's fault and not blogging). You can read his latest on system software research. Among his "Friends of DTrace" is Bill Sommerfeld. I was wondering if this was in fact the same Bill Sommerfeld that I went to college with, and from yesterday's post, I see that it is. Bill's been hacking UNIX internals since we were in college (he was one of the student systems programmers for MIT's Project Athena), and he's got nice things to say about Bryan's baby. Too bad Solaris doesn't run on Powerbooks.
