Day one
Today was my
first day as an OSAF employee. There was the usual first day stuff, accounts, e-mail, etc. People stopped by in IRC, phone, and e-mail to give me a welcome. Pretty much like any first day on the job, except that I wasn't in the office at all.
I'll be working on my own hardware until my PowerBook G4, arrives. Unfortunately the lag time on the PowerBooks is sufficiently long that mine probably won't show up for another two weeks or so (the Apple store says it'll ship on or before Nov 26, and that's after we downgraded from a 5400RPM hard disk -- that would have been 5-7 weeks). In the long run, it will be good to have one of each OS that Chandler needs to run on. In the meantime, I'm all ears for tips and software recommendations from MacOS X hackers.
