On site at OSAF Day 5
I've arrived home after doing the usual air-land-sea combination. On the return flight I ran into one of my neighbors on Bainbridge, and we shared a limo ride to the ferry, the ferry ride and a cab home to the neighborhood. Having someone to pass the time with can take some of the sting out of travelling. But nothing beats being at home, that's for sure.
As far as today's events go, Andi and I got into a conference root, hooked a projector up to his powerbook and walked through the code. So now I've got all this data running around in my head, slowly linking itself together and trying to make itself at home. One of the biggest things is remembering the bi-directional nature of references between items in the Chandler data model. Keeping this in mind is one of the big challenges. But I've got plenty of fodder for more exhaustive testing, as well as a deeper understanding of the implementation that will be helpful when it comes time to build the query system.
Now I'm going to go enjoy being at home.
