I'm not alone...
Sam Gentile confesses that he hasn't seen the Matrix Reloaded yet. Neither have I. I missed seeing The Matrix in the theatre, but it's probably my favorite movie (those of you who know that I watch very few movies will not be surprised). Not only that, my wife really enjoyed it, and SF Action movies are not her thing. So what's stopping us?

- Three small children, including one nursing baby
- A fear that Reloaded just can't live up to either the original or the hype.
Hey, that sounds awfully familiar, having three kids of 1, 4.5 and 6 years ourselves. Their number and their young age, which mean they are still full of 'surprises', seem to scare untrained babysitters away. Oh well, I guess that will result in two other boys/girls-only nights out.

I'm in that club, too. But for an expanded set of reason. Yes, we have two kids (ages 7 and 8), but we managed to see not one but two movies this weekend. Neither of which was <b>Matrix Reloaded</a>.
On Friday night, we caught a late show of Down With Love, which was a very funny sendup of the old Dorris Day/Rock Hudson romantic comedies of the 1960's. Then on Saturday we saw X2, which was pretty darned good in the effects and action department.
We'll be travelling on the next couple of weekends, so we'll probably catch the new Matrix movie in about three weeks.
