One drawback of working at home

is that you aren't in a continuously air-conditioned building like many workplaces. Ordinarily I consider this a plus, but for the last few weeks my allergies have been killing me, to the point where I can't manage to wear my contacts for a full work day. My nose is being crushed by the weight of my heavy glasses. Airconditioning is one of the few things that seems to be effective at keeping the allergies at bay.
I've found that the HEPA filters really help. I have significant allergies (2 surgeries so far) and running these filters in the house really reduces my allergies.
These can be srot of loud, but at least you won't be scratching your eyes all the time.

I finally went to doctor about my allergies. He prescribed Allegra and Flonase. The Allegra made me groggy but the Flonase works great.

also positive pressure in the room you are in may help- mount one of these babies in a window with a prefilter and be surprised at how much better you feel esp since you made it yourself and it works- put a few stickers on it and disavow suffering needlessly. i think some people made a cheap water perifier for africa with a bit of stainless sheet metal and a uv lamp. score 3 informative

HEPA filters and fans do squat.
allegra is useful but expensive. try allerclear from costco, over the counter (same ingredient as claritin but 10X cheaper)
flonase is great. there are many, e.g. rhinocort, nasonex, nasarel, beconase; these all work as steroids decreasing inflammation
one other option is astelin, a nasal antihistamine...

Your eye doctor can prescribe eye drops (I have Patanol) that stop the itchy eyes without causing drowsiness. Changed my life!
