After 2 days without power (and therefore, heat), our electricity came back on earlier tonight. Nothing like a 2 day fast from modern life to get you in an end of the year, meaning of life pondering mode...
I hope you and yours are doing well. I have been worried about all of my Seattle-area friends, and the only person I had been able to contact was in Tacoma. :/

The whole thing made me think about community information sharing in disaster situations. (Read: post-emergency wiki?)

Glad you're back on.
The big pondering we were doing was along the lines of: should we get a generator for the next one?
But, we have propane heat, so for us, it would just be for the fridge, internet, and light. Good thing too, since this is the third time in a month for us.
