Two seconds would be borderline. Probably not. But at ISO 800 you'd have 1/2 second, and at ISO 1600 1/4 second, and it handles those speeds pretty nicely.
ISO 800 is pretty good on the Rebel XT, and ISO 1600 ain't bad - especially for a shot like that where you could get away with arbitrarily clipping the dark shades to black in postprocessing - the dark shades are where the noise is.
